PEANUT 1992 BAY GELDING

Peanut is a finished head horse that anyone can ride and learn to rope off of. He has taught several people, mostly kids, how to rope correctly and to ride a horse. Peanut will give whoever is riding him, whether it be a kid that doesn't know how to rope or my brother roping for money, the best chance possible to catch a steer and turn it just right so the heeler can catch two feet. He has won money is multiple states as a high school rodeo horse and as a team roping horse.

SKITZ 1996 BAY GELDING

Skitz is unregistered, but worth his weight in gold in the roping pen as you can see from the pictures above. Skitz is a finished heel horse and has been started as a backup head horse for my brother who is ridding him in the pictures. With a little more time he will be a better than average head horse. When I bought him as a scrawny three year old that didn't know how to run, my plans were to try to make him my new heel horse. But as you can tell, I am no longer his main rider and apparently my brother has decided that Skitz belongs to him. Tommy has hauled Skitz all over the place roping, he has been to Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma many times, Kansas and Nebraska. Skitz recently had a vacation from roping and became a beginner child's mount for a week long trail ride in Tennesse in June of 2007. If you are riding him down the road or just riding around in the pasture not on any particular mission, I think that a turtle could actually pass him if it wanted to. He just doesn't get in any hurry if it's not absolutely necessary. Don't get me wrong, he can run real fast when you're roping. He has only been outrun once in a roping pen and that was when he was three or four years old. He just doesn't give up on a steer until it's in the stripping chute. Don't let his name fool you, although he earned it honestly as the scrawny three year old, he doesn't act that way any more but the name just stuck because that's what everyone called him back then.
